Sarasota Coastal Retreat Remodel
What began as a basic bedroom has now become a private retreat designed for both beauty and functionality. The transformation started with raising the floor and pouring new concrete to create a seamless foundation. From there, every detail was reimagined — from the new walk-in closet to updated flooring, fresh trim, and a soothing coastal-inspired paint palette.
With a collaborative design process and carefully selected finishes, the end result reflects both the homeowner’s vision and Southtide Construction’s commitment to craftsmanship.
The bathroom was the centerpiece of this remodel. We eliminated the outdated curb and hard-to-clean shower glass wall, replacing it with a sleek knee wall for a more open, easy-to-maintain design. A raised shower ceiling, rainhead fixture, and walk-in layout give the space a spa-like feel.
Finishes were chosen to blend elegance and durability, including wood-look tile flooring, oil-rubbed bronze hardware, fresh doors and trim, and new wall sconces for soft, modern lighting. These thoughtful details create a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both elevated and practical.
